Alcohol is considered broadly toxic and is a known skin and eye irritant.

Ethyl alcohol, ethanol or alcohol are all names for the chemical compound that is the principle type of alcohol found in alcoholic drinks. Alcohol can be naturally produced through fermentation or synthesized through petrochemical processes. As well as in beverages, its uses are wide, including as a chemical solvent in some skin and personal care products. The EWG list it as 'broadly toxic' and there are numerous well-documented health concerns relating to excessive oral consumption of alcohol. It is also a known skin and eye irritant.
