Bleaching Agent Activator

Role details

What are bleaching agent activators used for?
Many detergents contain bleaching agents to aid in the removal of stains. However, most bleaching agents only work well at high temperatures - in excess of 60°C  Bleaching agent activators allow bleaching agents to work better at lower temperatures resulting in a more economical wash.

How do they work?
They act as a catalyst to speed up the rate of reaction between bleaching agents and stains. The faster the rate of reaction, the more effective the bleaching agents are.
